Directions

The event village is based in the fields that sit between Ingrebourne Hill and Albyns Farmhouse.

 

All participants and visitors will use the Albyns Farm entrance on South End Road.

 

The best postcode for Sat Nav devices for the new entrance off South End Road is RM13 7YH.

BY CAR

​

From the north using the M25

  • Exit the M25 at Junction 29 and join the A127 towards London

  • Leave the A127 to turn on to Wingletye Lane

  • Follow this road to the end where you reach a set of traffic lights.

  • Go straight across onto Hacton Lane

  • Take the first right at the mini roundabout onto Ravenscourt Grove

  • At the end of this road turn left onto Station Lane which becomes Suttons Lane

  • Follow this road past Hornchurch Station on your right and the old Hospital site on your left. It now becomes Airfield Way.

  • Go past the OLD EVENT ENTRANCE to Hornchurch Country Park and past Tesco on your right

  • Proceed until you reach a set of traffic lights where you will TURN LEFT onto South End Road

  • You will go over a zebra crossing and St Alban’s Primary School will appear on your right

  • TURN LEFT into Hornchurch Country Park, which has a brown sign for Albyns Farm at the entrance.

 

From the south using the M25

 

  • Exit the M25 at Junction 30 and join the A13 towards London

  • Take the first exit and at the first roundabout take the third exit

  • A second roundabout then appears quickly, take the exit marked A1306

  • Follow this road all the way to Dover’s Corner roundabout

  • Take the third exit onto Rainham road. La Salette Catholic church is on your left, the Albion Pub is on your right

  • Follow Rainham Road round the left hand bend and you will come to a traffic light junction where you TURN RIGHT on to South End Road

  • St Alban’s Primary School will appear on your left

  • TURN RIGHT into Hornchurch Country Park, which has a brown sign for Albyns Farm at the entrance.

 
From central London using the A12

 

  • Heading eastbound on the A12, exit right onto Whalebone Lane North

  • This becomes Whalebone Lane South

  • Turn left onto Wood Lane

  • Take the first exit at the roundabout and go past West Ham United’s training ground on your left.

  • Wood Lane becomes Rush Green Road

  • At the lights, with the YMCA on your right, go straight across and at the next lights, take the right filter at Roneo Corner, then the left filter onto Upper Rainham Road

  • Follow this road under a railway bridge then prepare to turn left onto another Wood Lane – third left turn after the bridge

  • Take the second right onto Mungo Park Road

  • At the end of Mungo Park Road, turn left onto South End Road

  • St Alban’s Primary School will appear on your left

  • TURN RIGHT into Hornchurch Country Park, which has a brown sign for Albyns Farm at the entrance.

 

 

PUBLIC TRANSPORT
 
London Underground

The two closest London Underground stations are Hornchurch and Elm Park on the District Line

 

From Hornchurch station

  • Cross the road and wait for a 252 bus

  • This will take you PAST THE OLD ENTRANCE for the event and to the end of Airfield Way.

  • Get off at Stop D, Dowding Way. Turn left at the junction onto South End Road and the new entrance will be a short walk up this road on your left hand side.

 

From Elm Park station

  • Cross the road at the crossing outside the station and turn right, then wait for a 252 bus at the stop on the hill

  • Once the bus has passed the Good Intent Pub, it will come to a traffic light junction and turn left. Get off at Stop K, Dowding Way, just after this turn.

  • Once on foot, perform an about face and walk back to the junction, turn left at the junction onto South End Road and the new entrance will be a short walk up this road on your left hand side.

 

Overground
​

Rainham station is on the C2C line from Fenchurch Street and is approximately a 1.5-mile walk to the Event Village.

​

  • Exit the station and use Ferry Lane to reach the B1335.

  • Turn left onto this road and go straight over when you reach the roundabout with Tesco on the right

  • You then reach a much larger roundabout which you need to cross over to reach Rainham Road.

  • La Salette Catholic Church will be on your left as you walk up Rainham Road, with the Albion Pub on your right

  • You will reach an entrance to Hornchurch Country Park signposted Ingrebourne Hill.

  • Enter here and take the trail that goes left, keeping the hill on your right hand side.

  • DO NOT take the left turn off this trail.

  • Stay on the trail and after approx. 400m you will reach the Event Village.
